Art in Tanzania is based in Bahari Beach, in an idyllic coastal location 20km north of Tanzania’s largest city Dar es Salaam. Volunteers are accommodated in a hotel 5 minutes away from the Indian Ocean, with numerous local amenities within walking distance and easy access to the attractions in Dar es Salaam and the Bagomoyo area.

A truly authentic African experience, Art in Tanzania’s accommodation for out Masai Land projects consists of a Masai Boma mud hut in the Masai village of Butti, near Lake Manyara National Park. The village has no electricity or running water and all volunteers are required to observe Masai cultural practices, making your time here often humbling but always unforgettable.

With Mount Kilimanjaro rising above you, Art in Tanzania’s accommodation in Moshi has one of the most stunning backdrops in the whole of Africa. Moshi projects are for interns only and accommodation is in private houses, with the shops, restaurants and other attractions of this small but bustling town all within easy reach.

Set in one of the most exotic places in the world, Art in Tanzania’s main Zanzibar accommodation is in the heart of Stone Town’s atmospheric labyrinth of streets.  Accommodation for other projects is in private houses in small villages across the coast, where the famous palm-fringed white sands and Indian Ocean are never far away.
