This is an ultimate safari for those who wish to encounter the nature on the ground. You stay comfortably at our tents at the camp sites, having your own cook with you. Along the safari you stay two nights at a hotel as well to enjoy warm showers and a nice bed.

This safari will secure you do not disturb your safari feeling by staying only in fancy tourist lodges. You also save moneys as the camping fees are much less than the lodge fees. At the end of the safari you can add a beach holiday at Zanzibar.

Day 1 | Home - Arusha | -, -, d

Arrival to Kilimanjaro airport or by other means to Arusha. Accommodation at Ahadi Lodge. Welcome dinner and orientation to the safari.

Day 2 | Arusha – Masai land - Lake Manyara | b, l, d

Yo can leave your extra luggage to Arusha and we head on with our camping gears to the Masai land. The drive takes about 3 hours (200km). We will visit at Art in Tanzania supported Masai village Butti just near to Lake Manyara National Park. On the way you may wish to pass by the Masai museum and snake park (fees about usd 10 per person). At the Butti Masai village you will learn about Masai life and culture and we visit the Art in Tanzania Primary school at the village as well. This school has been built up by the safari income and we pay the teachers salaries as well.

Afternoon we drive to Lake Manyara National Park and will have firt look at the wildlife before putting up the tented camp inside the park.

Day 3 | Lake Manyara – Karatu   | b, l, d

After the breakfast we start wildlife drive at the park. Lake Manyara is famous of its tree climbing lions. Even during the driest season we can see abundant variation of wildlife around the lake. You will see many elephants, lots of primates and giraffes that are not bothering to climb down to your next destination, N'gorongoro crater.

After the safari drive we drive to Karatu town at the N'gorongoro rim slope (about 30km) and have a night in a hotel for accommodation to get some warm showers and nice dinner after the tented camp.

Day 4 | Karatu - N'gorongoro - Serengeti  | b, l, d

After the breakfast we head on to N'gorongoro crater. The gate is only some 10km away and from the gate it takes some 30 minutes to reach the place we we climb down to the crater. in the crater you will see thousands of flamingos, hippos, all main gazelles and antelopes, zebras, usually elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah and amazingly black lip rhinos as well!

We leave the crater about PM 3 to drive to Serengeti in time to put up the tented camp and to make our dinners.

Day 5 | Serengeti | b, l, d

Whole day game drive in Serengeti. The destination depends on the season where the animals have been migrating.

Day 6  Serengeti - Karatu | b, l, d

We have game drive until lunch and then we drive back to Karatu town, We have a hotel accommodation to refresh ourselves.

Day 7 | Karatu – Arusha / Zanzibar | b, l, d

We drive to Arusha and have accommodation at Ahadi Lodge with dinners.

Those who wish can visit Art in Tanzania community projects as Arusha town and a shopping trip in town. Those continuing to Zanzibar will have a domestic flight from the Arusha Airport.

Zanzibar visitors will have a tour at the historic Stone Town, visiting Museums as Freddy Mecury museum, Africa house, old slave market etc. Accommodation in Safari In Hotel' Evening is crowned by the Zanzibari Dinner. Accommodation at the Safari Lodge hotel at Stone Town.

Day 8 | Arusha - Home flight / Zanzibar program| b, -, -

Those heading home will have airport transport to the Kilimanjaro international Airport.

Those who have continued to Zanzibar will have spice farm tour showing how the spices are farmed and processed. Thereon we continue to the Northern tip of Zanzibar to Kendwa and accommodate at the Sunset Bungalows Beach Lodge. Lunches and dinners are not included to allow you to select your own choices of meals.

Day 11 | Zanzibar - Dar es Salaam – Departure | b, -, -

We arrange you transfer to Zanzibar international Airport or to Dar es Salaam International Airport depending on your departure airport.

• Program starts every first and third Monday of the calendar month and we need minimum 2 participants to perform it.
• Cost for the safari program Euro 1,300 per person. Under 15 years old Euro 900 and less than 5 years old Euro 300.
• Cost for the Zanzibar program Euro 800 per person including in country flights. Additional day at Zanzibar Euro 100.
• International flights and VISA and travel insurances are not included.
• You need to bring your sleeping bag and mattress.
