Background
Selous Game Reserve is the world largest wild life reserve. At Selous you can still encounter the untouched wilderness. Animals are easy to see around the small lakes and riverbanks. Hot volcanic springs for bathing.

With this program you have 4 days safari program to Selous (3 days in the park), you visit the Coral islands at Dar es Salaam as well as markets and you can add 4 days at Zanzibar Island to you safari.

Program
Day 1 | Home - Dar es Salaam | l, d
Flight to Dar es Salaam. Accommodation at the Bahari Beach - Kunduchi Beach hotel some 16 km north from Dar es Salaam city center at the Indian Ocean Beach.

Day 2 | Dar es Salaam - Selous (280km) | b, l, d
You start the Selous safari around 9am by visiting a supermarket for to buy small snacks for the drive. Driving to Selous takes some 6 hours. Half of the trip we drive through the African villages. At Selous you stay at the Mbega Camp just at the Rufiji River bank hippos at your footsteps and primates at the treetops.

Day 3 Selous | b, l, d
All day at the Selous game reserve. Accommodation is at the Mbega Camp.

Day 4 | Selous | b, l, d
All day at the Selous game reserve. Accommodation is at the Mbega Camp.

Day 5 | Selous - Dar es Salaam | b, l, d
Morning time you enjoy a boating safari at the Rufiji River, in the afternoon you drive back to Dar es Salaam. Accommodation is at Bahari Beach - Kunduchi Beach  are hotels.

Day 6 | Dar es Salaam / Coral Islands | b, l, d
All day at the Dar es Salaam Marine Park coral islands. Lunch at the Island and for the dinner we barbeque seafood. Accommodation at the Bahari Beach - Kunduchi Beach area hotels.

Day 7 or Zanzibar Day 1 | Dar es Salaam – Depart or Zanzibar trip | b, l, d
Those who do not attend the Zanzibar program will have a day at the Dar es Salaam markets depending on the departing flight schedule.

Zanzibar Day 1 | b, -, -
Those who have selected to include the Zanzibar Islands in their program will take a morning ferry to Zanzibar. You wander around the historic stone town, visit the slave market, Freddy Mercury Museum, markets and Africa House. Accommodation is at Safari Lodge (accommodation may vary depending on the bookings at the hotels at the time). Lunch and dinner not included to give you freedom to select from the variety of cuisines around.

Zanzibar Day 2 | b, -, -
Morning to noon you visit the spice farms to have a look at how many common spices are grown. Afternoon you take a bus to the North tip of the Zanzibar Island to enjoy beach life. You stay at the Sunset Bungalows beach resort. Lunch and dinner not included to give you a freedom to select from the variety of cuisines around.

Zanzibar Day 3 | b, -, -
You have full board accommodation at the Sunset Bungalows Beach Resort. Free/own program such as boating, snorkeling, scuba diving etc. (cost not included). Lunch and dinner not included to give you freedom to select from the variety of cuisines around.

Zanzibar - Dar es Salaam - Departure Day 4 | b, -, -
Morning time there is still time enjoy at the beaches. During the afternoon you take a ferry back to Dar es Salaam. Afternoon program is planned upon your flight schedule. If you have time we take you to the Dar es Salaam markets. Departure flight. Lunch and dinner not included to give you a freedom to select from the variety of cuisines around.

Prices:
Selous Safari and Coral Islands

• Selous Safari with coral Islands Euro 1,150 per person.
• 5-15 years old Euro 800 sharing the room with the parents.
• Less than 5 years old Euro 300.
• On December the cost is Euro 100 more due to the higher lodge etc fees during the high season period.
• Air tickets, tourist VISA, personal drinks etc. not included.

Zanzibar:

• 4 days Zanzibar Euro 450.
• 5 - 15 years old Euro 350 sharing the rooms with the parents.
• Extra days at Zanzibar Euro 100 each.
• Less than 5 years old free.
• During the December the Zanzibar package is Euro 100 more expensive due to the high season prices.
• Zanzibar accommodation can be upgraded.

All program income is used for the community work projects in Tanzania
