Art in Tanzania works with numerous community hospitals and clinics in Tanzania.  Many of the local hospitals and clinics provide very cheap medical care, so are often busy and understaffed.  Volunteers support the staff and teach medical techniques used in other countries. Volunteers also provide community care, teaching and training in schools and villages.  Our largest ongoing community schemes are the HIV awareness projects. In these, seminars are set up to provide information about the causes and prevention of HIV.  These seminars include advice and counseling for people who have already contracted HIV.
